This was the first white paper edited jointly by Gebhard Borck, Valérya Carvalho, Niels Pflaeging, and Andreas Zeuch
It was publsihed October 2008, and reviewed February 2009.

In my opinion, this paper, and the Cell Structure Design Series (including part II) has been our most innovative and challenging set of papers so far. Much of what is presented here is new, radical, and highly innovative for management practice. I would even say that we are introducing quite a new branch of organizational design here.

This is definitely stuff for a future book... anybody interested? :-)

Part I presents the concepts. Part II adds two case studies, and conclusions.
